Genesis of this phrase

Where did the term "sons of thunder" come from?
Originally it is found in the scriptures of the bible
16And He appointed the twelve: Simon (to whom He gave the name Peter), 17and James, the son of Zebedee, and John the brother of James (to them He gave the name Boanerges, which means, "Sons of Thunder");” Mark 3:16-17
My personal interpretation from reading this scripture
is that Jesus was referring to James and John as "Sons of the word of God"
Thunder in the word a lot of times is used symbolically for the voice of the Lord.
I can remember the first time I heard this phrase I was in a very small interest meeting for a prayer ministry I wanted to be involved with. I was sitting next to a friend I just made. I'd heard the guy but this was the first time we had actually met. We began talking about music and ministry before the meeting briefly and had already had a lot in common. As the meeting got underway the Lord pointed me and my new friend out to one of the ministers on the platform. They began to give me a word from the Lord. They used this phrase son of thunder and related it to music. Unfortunately my friend got up before the minister began to speak and was in the bathroom. When he returned I mentioned to him later of the prophetic word. He looked at me with a striking look in his eyes and began to speak. He spent the next few minutes telling of his connection with the phrase and how the lord spoke to him. He spoke about a previous word he had heard and the history behind this new phrase I had just learned. Little did I know I would be strengthened by that little phrase till this very day.
This was definitely the short-sided version of the story, man, there's so much more.
Just recently I read the "morning star ministries" prophecy about a coming revival. At the center of the prophecy: a "new song". This is the same word that my friend was telling me about some 3-4 years ago
Here is an excerpt from the actual doc.
"the time would come when the Lord God will release into the streets an army of worshiping warriors known as the 'Sons of Thunder'. They will bring forth praise into the streets that will birth evangelism and praise and give many children to God."
I encourage all aspiring musicians and singers who desire to release the new sound check this prophecy out and others like it. See what the Lord would have you do in this hour.
I know he's personally ordering my steps and I want to minister to His heart before I try to minister to anyone else. It must come from a place of intimacy with Him.
